The Carlton Clinic has a practitioner team consisting of eminent, leading members of each professional discipline that can be matched by few, if any, similar clinics.

The popularity of The Carlton Clinic has grown through a consistent repute for high quality, successful treatment over a wide range of problems. All our practitioners cross-refer to each other as appropriate for the best care of their patients or to outside disciplines as necessary. The range of expertise at The Carlton Clinic means that patients can be quickly referred to their best source of treatment care rather than possibly having to search out disseminated practitioners and clinics.

The clinic was first established in 1984 by Jonathan Cove in rented accommodation where it's growing popularity necessitated the move to the present premises in 1989, and was invested in again in 1992 for further expansion and improvements that created a difficult time to work through but now has provided some of the best facilities to be found in any comparable clinic.

The Carlton clinic is still primarily an Osteopathic and Sports medicine practice but when practitioners of exceptional repute and top qualifications in other disciplines have become available they have been allowed to practice from the Carlton Clinic. A Homeopath has been with the practice since 1990; the Chiropody since 1992; Acupuncture, Allergy Testing and Psychotherapy being added subsequently. In 1995 we were joined by a specialist in Podiatric Surgery. With the status and popularity of the Carlton Clinic it has been possible to attract the highest standard of practitioners to build the team we currently present.

The Carlton Clinic has excellent relations with local medical general practitioners and consultants (treating many of them) with doctors on our staff able to give medical diagnostic backup to our other practitioners if necessary.

The Carlton Clinic is used by a number of sports clubs and organisations (professional and amateur) as their sports medical service, and by prominent local companies as their treatment and ergonomics consultation.
Since 1995 we have had specialist Cranial and Paediatric Osteopaths, and since 1996 a Specialist Sports Medicine doctor strengthening our already considerable repute in sports injuries treatment.

Our medically qualified Naturopath/Nutritionalist/Homeopath joined us in 1998, a leading authority in her field.
Two local General Medical Practices, and a Borough Council in a new football and sports complex, and two large local companies contract Osteopathic services from The Carlton Clinic.
