In line with current thinking, and following the testing method recommended by the Osteoporosis Society, the Carlton Clinic uses a urine test for bone density screening for Osteoporosis.

Kits with instructions can be purchased from the clinic for this simple and cost effective, but most accurate technique.

Radiographs, Screening and other Special Tests

The Carlton Clinic has a Referal Agreement with Gatwick Park Hospital in Horley for X-Rays, MRI, CAT Scans, Blood and Other Special Tests for our patients. These are available on the same day. Carlton Clinic Patients thus receive such tests to NHS standard. These tests are done only when clinical signs indicate their necessity. The Carlton Clinic earns no fees from them.

Beware clinics with in-house sub-standard equipment who X-Ray every patient levying big charges and causing huge irradiation exposure from their cheap equipment!
