The
manipulative hand skills unique to Osteopaths makes Osteopathy the
most ideally suited treatment of a range of limb injuries such as
frozen shoulder, tennis/golfers elbow, tendonitis, carpal tunnel
syndrome and wrist pain, tendon problems and trigger fingers, arthritic
fingers and toes, hammer and curled toes, bunion pain, arch problems,
weak ankles, knee cartilages and ligament damage, knee wear and
tear, shin splints, muscle injuries and so on.
Jonathan
Cove, principal Osteopath at the Carlton Clinic, has specialised
in peripheral limb injuries over a period of 10 years starting with
his extensive involvement in sports medicine in an array of sports
that involved much treatment of these areas, and has lectured in
these subjects to Osteopathic degree students, as well as to Doctors
and Osteopaths in Japan when the Japanese Osteopathic Academy took
Jonathan to Japan to teach minimal leverage and peripheral joint
techniques.
